M. Erdem Kabadayı participated in the Economic Geography of Industrialization Workshop at Amsterdam and presented the paper titled “Long term regional dynamics of industrialization, from the late Ottoman Empire to the Republic of Turkey in the twentieth century, 1850-2000.”.

The 2017 annual meeting of the MESA took place in Washington DC. Our team presented the following papers at Historical GIS Applications to Analyze Economic Geography and Transport Infrastructure in the Ottoman Empire session.

M. Erdem Kabadayi participated in VEKAM’s conference “Trade and Production in Ottoman Anatolia”, and presented a co-authored paper with Hulya Canbakal and Alpay Filiztekin. “Occupations and Investment in Nineteenth Century Bursa.”
